Legacy of the Ram 1500 TRX: People remember the Ram 1500 TRX with its strong Hellcat V-8 engine with fondness for how fast it was and how loud its engine was.
A Brief Look at the Ram 1500 RHO: With the new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, the TRX is no longer Ram's best off-road vehicle.
It will now go up against trucks like the Chevy Silverado ZR2 and the Ford F-150 Raptor.
About the engine: The RHO has a form of the Stellantis' Hurricane engine that is more powerful. It is a 3.0-liter inline-six that is twin-
turbocharged and makes 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. Because it has six cylinders, it weighs less than the TRX.
Gas Mileage: The RHO should get 15 miles per gallon in the city and 21 miles per gallon on the highway, which is better gas mileage than the TRX.
Performance: The RHO is a little slower than the TRX, but it still has great performance. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and go a quarter mile in 13.1 seconds.
Ability to Go Off-Road: The RHO has great off-road skills thanks to its big tires, two-inch lift, and high ground clearance.
It can go over different types of terrain and even cross water up to 32 inches deep.
Features Inside: The RHO has new tech features inside, such as a base 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an-
optional 14.5-inch touchscreen that is positioned vertically and runs Uconnect 5 software.
Weight and Balance: The RHO is 150 pounds lighter than the TRX, even though it has six pistons instead of four.
This weight loss makes the truck more balanced and easier to drive, especially off-road.
Exhaust System: The RHO has a real dual exhaust system with big five-inch tips that make it sound different from other Ram models.
It might not have as loud of a sound as the boosted Hemi in the TRX, but it still has its own sound.
