Daytona Glory

There were two factory-backed V-Series.R entries on the front row for Cadillac at the 24 Hours of Daytona.

In the 40-minute shootout at the end, Cadillac failed to claim the victory despite leading postqualifying practice sessions and early stages.

Previously dominant as a Honda driver, Blomqvist made good ground on Felipe Nasr's leading Porsche as he drove the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac to second place.

Final green flag pit stops proved crucial, as Porsche regained the lead, defended against Cadillac, and regained the lead.

It marked Porsche's biggest victory in the LMDh era for Nasr, Campbell, Cameron, and Newgarden.

In terms of podium positions, the No. 31 Cadillac and the No. 40 Acura with Andretti ARX-06 of Wayne Taylor Racing took the top two places.

Now Penske and Porsche focus on the 24-hour race at Le Mans, hoping to extend Porsche's record.

AO Racing's Porsche 911 GT3 R finished second, while Paul Miller Racing's BMW M4 GT3 came in third. In GTD Pro,

Risi Competizione's Ferrari 296 prevailed by 35 seconds over AO Racing's Ferrari 296, followed by Paul Miller Racing's Ferrari 991.

The Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Winward Racing won the pro-am GTD class, beating the Ferrari 296 of AF Corse.

Crowdstrike Racing and Riley Oreca finished second and third, respectively, behind Christian Rasmussen in LMP2.

24 Hours of Daytona will no longer include the LMP3, which has been controversial in recent years.
