Stellantis recalls 1 million vehicles over rearview camera issue

Important Recall Notice for Stellantis Vehicle Owners - Attention Stellantis vehicle owners, we kindly request your careful attention to the following information.

Stellantis is issuing a recall for more than 1 million vehicles from various brands due to a rearview camera problem.

It's important to note that there may be instances where the image from the rearview camera doesn't appear on your screen.

This can potentially impact visibility and potentially increase the risk of an accident.

Which Vehicles Are Affected? The recall affects the following models: 2021-2023 Chrysler Pacificas 2021-2022 Dodge Durangos

2022-2023 Jeep Compasses, 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokees 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneers, 2022-2023 Jeep Wagoneers

2022 Ram 1500s, 2500s, and 3500 2022-2023 Ram Promaster

Why This Matters: According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a non-functioning rearview-

camera can make it harder for drivers to see clearly, which could raise the chances of an accident.

What To Do Next: Stellantis is providing a free update to fix the radio software issue. The update can be installed over the air for an-

estimated 298,000 vehicles. If your vehicle needs this update, you'll see a request on your media screen.

For the remaining vehicles, we'll be sending recall notices via mail to all affected customers.

Additional Information: While no injuries or accidents have been linked to this issue, it's important to get the-

update as soon as you can. We'll be sending out notification letters in early August.

Recall in Canada - Over 126,500 Stellantis vehicles in Canada are being recalled for the same issue. For help, reach out to your local-

Stellantis dealership or visit the Stellantis website. Stay safe and make sure your vehicle is up to date with all necessary recalls.
