Toyota Prius Recalled Due to Rear Doors Taking Flight

Toyota has recently issued a global recall for 211,000 Prius and Prius Prime vehicles.

This recall is being done to address safety concerns related to the rear doors of these vehicles.

Around 55,000 vehicles in the United States are impacted by the recall.

There seems to be a problem with water getting into the electronic rear door latches, which could cause a short circuit.

Toyota suggests that owners activate the automatic locking feature as a temporary safety measure.

The automaker is currently addressing the issue and is in the process of finding a solution.

Starting in early June, owners will begin receiving notifications about the recall.

We're happy to let you know that the recall service will cover the replacement of both-

rear door opener switches free of charge for our valued customers.

Unfortunately, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website does not provide a recall report.

It is advisable to visit Toyota's recall site to find out if a vehicle is part of the recall.
