Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself” appears on the soundtrack to the film 8 Mile, which was released in 2002. As part of a production duo known as the Bass Brothers, Eminem composed and produced the song along with longtime collaborators Jeff Bass and Luis Resto. 

Eminem wrote the Lose Yourself Lyrics. Originally released on October 28, 2002, it has become one of the most popular singles from the album. Eminem’s character in 8 Mile, B-Rabbit, is described explicitly in the Lose Yourself song lyrics, with the first verse describing most of the movie’s plot.

Mobile Court” sign on the cover of the movie’s soundtrack, and the video consists of multiple scenes from the movie, including scenes from, and reminiscent of, 8 Mile. Upon receiving the MTV Video Music Award, it was recognized as the Best Video from a Film Category.

As the first hip-hop song to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, “Lose Yourself” won both the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance. 

Rolling Stone included the song as number 166 on its list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, making it one of only three rap songs from the 21st century.
